Make a Difference with Us
The Gainesville Thrives student club was founded with a mission to provide students with opportunities to grow their skills and leave a positive impact on the city of Gainesville.
Through training, workshops, and mentorships with local community leaders, club members are able to serve those in need locally, improve their skills, and foster a strong desire to do good in whatever field they find themselves in. Members may contribute as tutors, book readers, and other volunteer positions to directly promote and provide equal literacy to all the children of Gainesville, leaving an impact that lasts longer than the few semesters a student spends at the University of Florida.
Volunteering and Internships
Find the best fit for you and your schedule and grow with us! All UF students are invited to join the club, regardless of year or major. If you're interested in signing up, use the form down below.

Volunteering
Through partnerships with other local service organizations, club members are able to tutor or mentor directly in schools or after school programs. Get in touch to learn about the latest opportunities and get connected!

Internships
Club members are also able to participate in an internship with Gainesville Thrives for periods of a semester or longer. Help get books in the hands of children in need, create materials to spread awareness, learn how a nonprofit works, and more. There's something for students from every major! All are welcome to sit in on a meeting and learn more before making any commitment.
